Standard Alarm Monitoring provides you with peace of mind 24/7. Before activation you will be required to complete an information sheet & submit a credit card payment for activation costs. Century provides standard home monitoring only. We do not sell alarm upgrades or perform home wiring under the warranty of your low voltage vendor.

Prior to activation, if required by your local Municipality, it is the responsibility of the homeowner to obtain an alarm permit number (cost designated by each Municipality). Century supplies information regarding your specific community on the website. Permit numbers & confidential info sheets must be submitted to Century prior to activation. No activation will be processed without a valid permit #. Any "powered alarm system, whether armed locally or through a central station must have a permit # or will be in violation of County Ordinance". You may be subject to fines and termination of service without notice. Police will not be dispatched without a current permit number & fines may be assessed to you by the county.

Alarm monitoring certificates may be issued after receipt of payment, confirmation of activation & permit number. We are responsible for only the system monitoring. Service calls based on malfunction of alarm system hardware, internal/structured wiring, home theater, home network/office, intercom, surround sound, dial tone & other cable, phone & low voltage issues will be routed back toyour builder to refer you to trheir contracrual low voltage vendor. After Hours calls are billable at industry standard.

Century Communications is responsible for only the system monitoring. We do not provide or service the internal wiring, the system, smoke/ motion/ gas/ glassbreak detectors, cellular back up or run service calls based on malfunction of alarm system hardware, loss of a/c or dial tone, internal/structured wiring, home theatre, home network /office, intercom, surround sound and other internal cable, phone and low voltage issues. These will be directly routed to your builder/Low Voltaqe Integrator, for follow through or you may contact the builder's Quality Assurance Department for more information. Alarm and phone service call issues are not the responsibility of Century Communications Security Monitoring Department.

ALARM ACTIVATION & PERMITTING PROCESS: Prior to the activation of your alarm system, we must receive both a confidential information sheet and an alarm permit number (if required by your local authority). You must contact us to fill out the confidential information sheet, if you did not receive this in your closing packages and return the completed sheet back to us via fax or US mail, as soon as possible to expedite your alarm activation process. There is an alarm activation fee. If you did not pre-pay this amount at your closing or over the phone when you called in your request for activation, please call our 24-hour customer support center at 1-888-386-9601 to pay the activation fee over the phone with one of our representatives.

Please, also fill out and send the permit application (if applicable), directly to the law enforcement agency listed (see below links), along with a check for the required permit fees. Once you have received your permit number from the prospective agency, please call our 24- hour customer support center at 1-888-386-9601 to report the number to us.

Your request for alarm activation will not be scheduled or activated until we receive payment in full along with the permit number and the confidential info sheet. Police will not be dispatched without a current permit number. Fines may be assessed by the county for false alarms or for being in violation of County Ordinance for operating a residential alarm system without a county issued permit.

TO CANCEL A FALSE ALARM: If you must cancel dispatch for a false alarm, please know your password and call Central Station at 1-866-383-0333. Please note this number is only for canceling a false alarm. This differs from the customer support number for service calls and new activates. That 24-hour number is 1-888-386-9601.
